This is the smallest of the Safeglide Chute profiles, which is used to handle plastic tote bins, as illustrated, and small cardboard cartons.In some circumstances this size of Safeglide is successful in allowing totes to travel down the chute without changing their orientation, however this is dependent on the size and shape of the tote and the material from which it is made. The way that the totes have lined themselves up on the conveyor, in this photograph, suggests that their orientation has changed whilst travelling down the chute.
This particular chute is hand fed from a mezzanine floor and is a good example of an interface with a roller conveyor at the exit.
